Neck Of the Woods is currently seeking lead and assistant teachers for the Early Education Program. We serve the Mad River Valley Community and Central Vermont region. We are hiring fun-loving, energetic lead, assistant, and floater teachers who have experience working with children between the ages of 0-5. Lead teachers must be over the age of 21, other teachers must be 18 and over. Lead teachers must have 30+ credits in or related to Early Education. All teachers must meet state licensing requirements for employment, pass a background check, and be fingerprinted before beginning to work with children. Preference for teachers with AA or BA degree and even further education.
Recommended skills include:

Familiarity and proficiency with emergent curriculum, Reggio Emilia, child development, strengths-based behavior management, and a community-based philosophy,

Strong Communication and Ability to Connect with Parents.

Comfortable with TSGold developmental assessments.

Salaries for lead teachers are $18/hr and above. Assistant teachers begin at $16/hr with experience. Floaters, assistant teachers, and trainees are paid based on experience and education, beginning at $15/hr. Benefits include training costs covered, some holidays 401 K benefits, and earned CTO for full time staff members. Health benefits will become a part of the benefits as we grow.
